US and Greenland Establish New Direct Air Route

A long-dormant air route has been revived, with the first direct flight between the United States and Greenland taking place since 2008. The inaugural flight, remarkably, occurred on former President Donald Trump’s birthday.

The journey, facilitated by Norse Atlantic Airways, began at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and concluded in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland. This reconnection seeks to stimulate both tourism and commercial activity between the U.S. and Greenland.

Norse Atlantic Airways intends to offer this flight service twice a week throughout the summer months.
